The uproar of the Kaurava army had started to wane. Then from the Pandava side, seated on a magnificent chariot the Supreme Lord Shree Krishna and Arjun, both blew their conch shells intrepidly, which ignited the enthusiasm of the Pandava army as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With this verse, we are introduced to the key figures in the Bhagavad Gita, as we leave behind Duryodhana and the Kaurava army. Lord Krishna was a divine incarnation or an avatara, and Arjuna was one of the five Pandava princes. Arjuna was considered the most skillful archer and warrior of his time. Shri Krishna was a close friend of Arjuna, and offered to be his charioteer for the Mahabharata war.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Many commentaries offer a lot of background from the Mahabharata in order to describe the grandeur of Arjuna’s chariot. It was a robust chariot, endowed with several divine powers. A key feature of the chariot was a flag in which Lord Hanumaan had entered in the form of an emblem. Therefore it is said that Lord Hanuman was one of the few individuals to hear the Gita firsthand. The white hourses of chariot were gifted by chitrarath gandharva, he gifted 100 hourses who can go any where even in air also and chariot was gifted by Agni while burning of khandav van.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Kath\u014dpani\u1e63ad, the whole chariot is given as an example for human life. In Kath\u014dpani\u1e63ad, our physical body is compared to the chariot and the sense organs are compared to the horses, mind compared to the reins, the sense organs driven are with the help of, controlled with the help of the reins. Similarly horses are controlled by the reins, sense organs are all controlled by the mind. And the sense organs represent knowledge and knowledge is given white colour in our tradition. That is Sarawathy, goddess of knowledge is given the white dress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dristdyum was leading Pranav army, but we are introduced by Krishna and Arjun. Krishna hold chariot as “Sarathi” charioteer carrying Arjuna, but the place and post does not make any difference to eminent personnality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sanjay glamourised entry of Padava with hope that Dhrithrastra may understand that when God is in the site of Pandava, the war shall be won by them, So, it is better for him to stop the war to safe guard his sons and others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
