Explanation:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Every teacher has their own style, their own philosophy, for teaching complicated subjects. A good teacher is one who can not only impart the knowledge, but also, extract the big ideas out of the complexity and present it to the student in such a manner that it can be easily grasped. There is no point teaching a complex subject which students memorize for the sake of passing the exam but forget it as soon as they submit their paper. Shri Krishna wanted to convey the essence of the Gita to Arjuna, so he addressed him again, after having concluded the teaching.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Gita is a formidable text to understand thoroughly. It deals with karma yoga, bhakti yoga, jnyaana yoga and raaja yoga. The same word is used differently in different contexts. For example, the word “aatmaa” is used to mean body, mind, intellect and the self. The Gita makes references to individuals from Vedic and Puraanic literature which requires further effort on the part of the teacher and the student. Seekers who approach the end of the teaching will appreciate a teacher who will extract its essence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A teacher may have knowledge of the deepest secret, but it is not necessary that he reveals it to his disciple. Before sharing it, he considers many things, such as the disciple’s readiness to receive the secret, understand it, benefit from it, etc. At the beginning of the Bhagavadgita, Arjuna was confused by the problems he was facing and asked Sri Krishna for guidance. The Lord imparted the knowledge to him with great care and consideration, through eighteen chapters, advancing his understanding bit by bit. Seeing Arjuna grasp the message so well, Sri Krishna was now confident that he would be able to understand even the ultimate and most profound knowledge. Further, he says ishto’si me dridhamiti, which means, “I am telling you this because you are my very dear friend. So, I care for you very much and sincerely want your best interests.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In practice free will can be misused. When free will is given, it can be afflicted by passion, hatred, fear, attachment, greed and selfishness. If that is the case, then two mistakes can be made; one is called the mistake without thinking. The other is called the mistake with thinking. Krishna is worried; Arjuna may make the wrong decision after 18 chapters, so once again, he does not want to order that you fight. So, Krishna gave freedom to Arjuna in the previous verse and now Arjuna has to use his free will and remember free will is something that can be used or even misused. So out of compassion Krishna is worried that Arjuna, after learning all these 18 chapters, may choose the wrong path after thinking. So, Krishna talks about repeating the Gita again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And why is Krishna repeating again and again. Krishna wants Arjuna not to be influenced by wrong decisions.  When we try to give freedom to our children, what is our problem, we are ready to give freedom, but our concern is that if they take a wrong decision, we will be sad, that is why we are hesitant to give freedom. I can give freedom to children only when my heart is ready. I will not be affected when children take a wrong decision. Similarly, the Guru can give complete freedom to the disciple only when the Guru is not going to be affected by the wrong decision. So, Krishna says here that not because I will be affected by your wrong decision, whatever decision you take, I will not be affected, yet I am repeating because I have compassion for you and also you have taken refuge in me. So I feel responsible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
